Tensioning a ratchet is simple. The awkward part comes afterwards: the spare webbing left dangling, rolling it up by hand when you finish, and a drawer full of straps tangled together.

Automatic webbing retraction: the webbing rewinds on its own
Every STRAPTOR strap keeps its webbing inside a compact housing, like a tape measure. You tension with the ratchet, exactly as always; when you release it, the webbing returns to its place on its own.
Hook up
Pull out the webbing, pass the strap over the load and hook it onto the anchor points. Only the webbing you need comes out: not a centimetre more.
Tension
You tension by hand with the ratchet, with the same firmness and control as a traditional strap. You decide the tension, not a spring.
Release and done
When you release the ratchet, the webbing retracts into the housing on its own. No rolling up, no knots: stowed and ready for the next job.
