To choose a tie-down strap, start with the load, anchor points and required length. Then compare the tensioning system and how the webbing is stored.
The entire STRAPTOR range features automatic retraction. Choose a ratchet, cam buckle or permanently mounted boat tie-down to suit your application.
Ratchet: Falcon 700 for motorbikes and cargo
A ratchet lets you adjust the strap by operating its handle. Falcon 700 is available with direct retraction in the Standard version, or slower, progressive retraction in Deceleration.
Both versions have 25 mm × 3 m webbing, lashing capacity LC 350 daN and a breaking strength of 700 kg. Check the variants to choose your pack, colour and hook.
Cam buckle: Kestrel 600 for luggage and light loads
Kestrel 600 uses a cam buckle in a compact format. It is designed for luggage, camping, bike racks and light loads.
Its webbing measures 25 mm × 3 m. The published breaking strength is 300 kg in straight pull and 600 kg in a loop. Check which configuration applies to your use before choosing.
Permanent mounting: Osprey 1200 for boating and trailers
Osprey 1200 is a transom tie-down that stays mounted on the trailer. The webbing remains inside the mechanism and the tie-down stays ready for your next outing.
It has 48 mm × 0.95 m webbing and a breaking strength of 1200 kg. It comes in a pack of 2 with mounting hardware included.
What does automatic retraction add?
Unused webbing stays contained while you secure the load. When you finish, release the mechanism and guide the webbing as it returns to the reel.
- No excess webbing: the unused length stays contained.
- No tangles: each strap stores its own webbing.
- More control when tensioning: work without loose webbing around you.
- Much quicker to store: no need to wind it up by hand.
Before you choose
Check the length, width, hooks and capacities stated on the product page and label. Breaking strength is not the working load limit and must not be used to design a tie-down arrangement.
